Beschreibung:

The freedom of movement and freedom of establishment in the European Union as well as the Lisbon and Bologna processes give rise to research questions for vocational orientation that cannot be addressed adequately from a national perspective.

The aim of the Career Lead project is to establish a Europe-wide research network on career guidance with a school focus, which pools the experience and expertise of the countries and thus forms the basis for cross-border research projects. Other key areas of the network's work are the further development of teacher training programmes and the promotion of young academics.

With regard to practical transfer, schools, cooperating institutions, education policy and education administration are to be supported in taking the dimension of the European labour and education area more intensively into account in vocational orientation. In addition, learning from each other in educational practice in European countries is to be promoted.

Results:

• The network in the legal form of an association with the corresponding statutes, which comprises three thematic working groups and two forums for young academics.
• Internet-based lecture series with digital teaching/learning materials
• An academic conference with conference proceedings
• A transfer conference
• As well as joint presentations, publications and research concepts or research proposals for follow-up projects
• Scientific evaluation of the project and publication
